Writing

In 4th grade we work on Narrative and Expository writing.

We do daily free writing in our writing journals. We then go back to edit and revise some of our journal entries and turn them into a published piece. We work on elaborating, adding great description and detail, and checking spelling and conventions.

We also write to prompts. This is where the students are given a specific topic (story starter) to write about. We go through the same writing process as above. This is great experience for the MSP that we will participate in this spring.
