Welcome to Mrs. Towne's 4th Grade!

We have had a wonderful start to our school year. We have been very busy and have already learned so many things.

In READING we are currently working on Story Elements: what are they, how to spot them, and how they can change a story.

In WRITING we are also working on these same story elements. Adding characters, setting with suspence, plot with obstacles, and a big ending.

In MATH we are working on multiplication. Keep practicing! You should feel comfortable doing problems up to 3-digits x 2-digits.

In SOCIAL STUDIES we learned the 50 states and their capitals.

In SCIENCE we are studying matter.
